REflectance Standards
- Ideal for reflectance measurements;
- Wide range detection from 250 to 2400 nm;
- Different reflectivities for diffuse measurements;
- Fused silica for specular measurements;
Relative reflectance measurements determine the proportional amount of reflected light from a sample against the amount of light that is reflected by the standard, which is assumed to have a reflectance of 100 %. For diffuse reflectance measurements, Sarspec has a set of standards made of optical PTFE with 98, 50 and 10% of reflectivity, from 250 to 2500 nm. These references are hydrophobic and chemically inert, therefore can be cleaned. Furthermore, they also offer a long-term stability, even when used in the UV range. For specular reflectance measurements, Sarspec has a fused silica substrate coated with Al-MgF2 for high specular reflectivity, from 250 to 2500 nm.
