Reflectance probes are used to obtain spectral information from fluorescence and reflectance measurements of surfaces and powders. A beam of light is sent from the light source through six illumination fibers to the sample and the fluorescence/reflectance is collected by a seventh fiber in the center of the probe tip that is coupled through a SMA 905 connector to the spectrometer.
A lower measurement signal requires higher core diameter fibers to increase the illumination and improve the collection. Reflectance probes offered by Sarspec are available in both UV-Vis and Vis-NIR wavelength range and can be combined with our standard and multi-angle probe holder. Both standard and multi-angle probe holders are supplied with our innovative, sturdy, and flexible slide system for a fast and easy sample swap.
