In addition to the great performance and flexibility of the FLEX series, FLEX+ series is a more sensible solution for low-light-level applications that require high performance and wide dynamic range such as low emissive fluorescence measurements. The Hamamatsu back-thinned CCD detector has 1-mm height pixel elements, which provides higher sensitivity and delivers high quantum efficiency (around 80% at the maximum) with a great signal-to-noise ratio.

Combining the high sensitivity with fast acquisition (up to 2587 spectra per second) and features such as power status indicator, user-interchangeable slits and optical filters, or plug-and-play operation deliver simplicity and versatility to all the setups that include this system. FLEX+ spectrometer is available in a ready-to-use (for more common applications) and user-customized (for more specific applications) configuration for narrow UV-Vis and Visible-NIR range and extended UV-Vis-NIR range.

General purpose solution with a PLUS

The FLEX+ is the full package of the FLEX series but with extra sensitivity and speed, which makes this spectrometer ideal for users that require fast and more sensitive light detection.

The ideal solution for low light-level applications

The Hamamatsu back-illuminated CCD detector used on FLEX+ has great performance advantages such as low dark counts. The 1 mm height pixel elements on the detector provide higher sensitivity for low-light-level applications.

Fast acquisition for monitoring real-time events

FLEX+ allows you to work with an integration time as low as 2 microseconds (with the electronic shutter on) and acquire up to 2587 spectra per second (using the burst mode). This feature makes FLEX+ the ideal solution for chemical, biochemical and other applications where fast reactions need to be monitored.

Easy to integrate in your setup

The SMA fiber optic connector allows for a simple attachment of FLEX+ to a wide range of spectroscopic setups without the need for complex optical alignments. This flexibility is complemented with a trigger integration tool, which includes triggers in/out and delays. FLEX+ and all spectroscopic components of your setup can be centralized for full control with our new SPEC Hub solution.

Control the sensitivity and optical resolution of your spectrometer

With the FLEX+, you can take advantage of interchangeable slits and optical filters. User-interchangeable slits offer an easy and simple way of setting the ideal optical resolution/sensitivity while interchangeable optical filters provide the user with the ability to narrow the operational wavelength range of the spectrometer. By selecting each component of the optical bench, which includes the entrance slit, optical filter, diffraction grating, collecting lens, you can optimize your FLEX+ for parameters such as operational spectral range, optical resolution, and sensitivity and ideally meet your application demands.
