Measuring the absorbance of fluids moving through a flow injection system requires the use of special in-line optical flow cells. Sarspec has absorption flow cells with a 10 mm pathlength that were designed using a Z shape to provide an optimal flow of the fluid, maximum efficiency, and minimum bubble entrapment (see the video below).
