FLEX is the first in line of our new series of spectrometers. The assembling precision of all optical components in a robust, compact, and lightweight bench provides FLEX spectrometer with improved sensitivity, great peak symmetry, and low stray light through the operational wavelength range, making this series of spectrometers the perfect solution for most general spectroscopic applications.
Features such as user-interchangeable slits and optical filters, power status indicator, and triggering functions deliver simplicity and flexibility to your spectroscopic setup. FLEX is available in ready-to-use (for more common applications) and user-customized (for more specific applications) configurations for both standard and improved-resolution versions.

Perfect as a general-purpose solution for spectroscopic applications

With a compact and flexible design, FLEX is more than capable of delivering a great performance with improved sensitivity and with the ability to be integrated into most general-purpose spectroscopic setups.

Best optics for a very low stray light

FLEX is the perfect solution for those who have the need for absorbance/transmittance measurements. The simultaneous optimization of the optical and mechanical design provides FLEX with a very low stray light percentage (less than 0.1%, over the entire operational spectral range).

Easy to integrate in your setup

The SMA fiber optic connector allows for a simple attachment of FLEX to a wide range of spectroscopic setups without the need for complex optical alignments. This flexibility is complemented with a trigger integration tool, which includes triggers in/out and delays. FLEX and all spectroscopic components of your setup can be centralized for full control with our new SPEC Hub solution.

Control the sensitivity and resolution of your spectrometer

With the FLEX, you can take advantage of interchangeable slits and optical filters. User-interchangeable slits offer an easy and simple way of setting the ideal optical resolution/sensitivity while interchangeable optical filters provide the user with the ability to narrow the operational wavelength range of the spectrometer. These features allow you to change from absorbance to a fluorescence setup in a few minutes. Add a Slit Kit to your order and get all the flexibility you need.

Maximum flexibility with the best performance

FLEX is available in both standard (STD) and improved- optical resolution (RES+) versions for ready-to-use and user-customizable configurations. For both solutions, users have the possibility of choosing an improved sensitivity configuration, which translates into a more efficient light collection optics.

    Customize your spectrometer

Customizing optical components allows you to configure the FLEX for more specific applications. In addition to user-interchangeable slits and optical filters, the flexibility in selecting the diffraction grating, adding a collecting lens, or choosing the detector version helps you to set the operational wavelength range, sensitivity, and optical resolution of your spectrometer.

    Pre-Configured Spectrometers

FLEX is available in a pre-configured STD and RES+ version for narrow-range UV-Vis and Vis-NIR and extended-range UV-Vis-NIR applications. The difference between these two versions is entirely at the detection level where the Sony detector has a better response in regions near the UV (a good choice for measurements below 500 nm) while the Toshiba detector has a better response above 500 nm (a good choice for Vis-NIR measurements). In addition to a slightly higher signal-to-noise ratio, the Toshiba detector also has a better optical resolution performance.
